4 TIPS TO GET MORE CLIENTS

Do you need more clients? Are you looking for more customers? If the answer to these questions is “yes,” then what are you currently doing to make that happen? What kind of plans do you have in place? What kind of processes are you utilizing?  I want to suggest 4 tips that will help you grow your customer base in an effective way.

 

1. Pick up the phone and call.

We are overwhelmed by various forms of advertisements.  You can’t watch TV, listen to music, drive down the road, check your e-mail or post on social media without being bombarded by ads. This is where the phone comes in. If you pick up the phone and call your clients or prospects, you will immediately distinguish yourself.

 

2. Have multiple pipelines.

If you’re hoping to gain more clients utilizing just one approach, then you will more than likely fail. You must have multiple pipelines. Some business coaches suggest having between 5-10 different pipelines. This would include social media, websites, calling, memberships to organizations, events, tradeshows, commercials, etc.

 

3. Fill your pipelines.

It doesn’t matter how many pipelines you have if they are all empty. This is why it is vital to have all of your pipelines full. If you’re calling every day, make sure you have a sufficient amount of people you are calling. If you are posting on social media sites, make sure it is consistent. If you are going to events, make sure they are the right events. Having many empty pipelines is actually worse than having 2 or 3 good pipelines. In fact, the quality of your pipelines is more important than the quantity. Make sure your pipelines are full of prospects.

 

4. Follow-up more frequently.

I can’t tell you how much our business depends on follow-up. While people will tell you they will contact you when they need you, let me let you in on a little secret: they probably won’t! It isn’t that they are purposefully lying; they are simply too busy to remember you when they need you. So, they end up using someone else. I have received many orders simply by touching base and asking a prospect if they need anything. I have been amazed at how many times they respond with, “Yes, actually I do.” It is all about hitting them at the right place and at the right time.
